Last Friday, we made a trip to Windsor Gardens in Aurora to visit the Great Grandparents. The girls were held and doted on all afternoon...they loved it!

Learning Everyday!
We seem to be learning something new everyday in this house!
Yesterday Chris and I both noticed Emily smiling...and not just in her sleep anymore! She is so observant of faces, and yesterday I caught her giving me little smiles throughout the day and Chris noticed smiles in the evening. Here's a picture I got today of a little smile she gave me after she had a meal and a full belly.
Addison has discovered that her hands taste good! She has been licking her fist and putting one or two fingers in her mouth to suck on. She did this a few weeks ago and got her fingers stuck in her mouth. I was changing Emily and heard Addison screech from the crib. When I peeked in, her hand was caught in her mouth and she was trying to pull it out and was stretching her poor little cheek in the process. She's grown leaps and bounds since then, and now purposely brings her hand to her mouth.

Hands with Direction
A couple of exciting things happened today. The girls were baptized and had lots of visitors! All of Chris's family is in town, including his brother Eric and his wife, Cathy, who are currently living in Turkey.
Also, we noticed Addison using her hands much more purposefully. She started reaching for things and touching them instead of seeming to randomly move her arms. She reached out and touched CeeCee's necklace, and she rubbed her eye twice. We're thinking it won't be long before she finds her fingers for sucking.

Precious Faces
The girls turned one month old today. In these first weeks of life, we have already taken hundreds of pictures. Of course, I'd like to put them all up on the blog, but time is short in a house with twins! So today I'd like to just post some of my favorites. We did have a one month photo shoot today, and I promise to get those shots up soon!
Here's Emily, shortly after being born. Is this a yoga pose?
Addison, enjoying my finger
Alright Emily, we know you like the passi, but that's the wrong hole!
Addison is all ready to head home from the hospital!
And so is Emily!

who done it ?!?
This morning I changed Emily and Addision, swaddled them back up, and set them in their crib together. They were kinda awake so I decided to put them 6" apart (Addison on left, Emily on right) so they could 'talk and hang out'.
I came back 3 min later to check on them, and Emily had the ENTIRE left side of her head/face covered in vomit, from top to chin, white curd chunks streaking her hair and all, along with a 1" halo of barf backlighting half of her head. She was wide eyed with a very surprised look on her face. WHA!? I couldn't believe how much she had thrown up!
AHHH, then I realized the indifferent, semi-guilty look on Addison's face, and very subtle almost indiscernible tiny tiny puke trail coming from her side and towards her sister. Immediately I was impressed with the accuracy and distance displayed by her newest skill (projectile vomiting) and the absolute ease at which she pulled it off and almost managed to make it look like it was Emily's fault instead.
Emily often likes to swat at Addison when laying next to each other, and I think she learned her lesson about paybacks today... :)
