Emily is a Stander!

Emily is now pulling up all on her own to stand alongside her sister. Here she is standing proudly at the toy box, digging out one of her favorites.

Little Monkey Bizness

Little Monkey Bizness is a play place near our house. You have to pay to get in, but it's a pretty fun place to play. The girls have a friend who just turned a year old, and we met some friends at Little Monkey Bizness to play and celebrate Mina's first year.

Dee Dee to the Rescue

Cold and flu season is here, and with it, a sick mamma. I came down with a bad cold last month, which made taking care of the girls much more challenging than usual. I'm lucky enough to have a great mom close by who took over for an afternoon so I could sleep!

9 Months

The nine month photo shoot happened right before bedtime, so the girls were in their jammies. DeeDee was over so I had two people behind me bringing out some pretty great smiles! 

Paper is quite a delicacy for these nine month olds, and when they got a taste of the sign, they were hungry for more!

After photos on the couch, it was upstairs for a few last snuggles before bed.

Thanksgiving, Final Round

Even after two turkey dinners, we were ready for a third! So the day after Thanksgiving, we made our own turkey and ate while the girls were awake so they could join us.

We went to the Hicks Homestead for Thanksgiving, where everyone made it to dinner and we were able to get a big family picture.

Thanksgiving, Round 1

Thanksgiving with the Nicolls always comes early. We celebrate the Saturday before Thanksgiving, which is great because then no one's rushing off to another gathering, plus we get two rounds of turkey every year!

Table Toy

Chris and I were just commenting tonight that this toy has been a huge hit and it hasn't gotten old at all for the girls. It started out on the ground (you can take the legs off) when they weren't standing, but now it's a table toy and they will both stand at it forever, pushing buttons and pulling levers to make the lights and songs go. 

Teeth

As of today, Emily has four teeth, and Addison has one. Some of the best teeth-viewing opportunities come during meal times. 

Here are a couple pictures I took last month when Emily had two bottom teeth and Addison's tooth was just beginning to come in.

Addison still sports her single bottom tooth. It's getting longer, but there aren't any signs of the neighbor coming in.
