Last month Addison discovered she could pull herself up on our large pot in the kitchen. Boy was she excited to learn that the pot was full of fun stuff to eat. Yep, after taking this picture, I had to wash her mouth out, and you wouldn't believe how much dirt and miracle grow pellets she was able to shove in there in such a short amount of time!
Ever since, that plant has required chair protection around the clock. Sometimes we move the chairs so we can sit in them. It's not pretty when Addie invariably notices our slip ups.
Since we've been spending more time in the living room lately because that's where the Christmas tree is, Addison has discovered there is another plant in there she can sneak dirt from. Yesterday she had her first taste of that delicious dirt, and now that plant has become gated territory. I was in the kitchen yesterday when the dirt eating happened. The girls were playing in the living room when that suspicious quiet fell, and I knew something exciting was happening. Addison stood at the plant, chowing down, while Emily laid on her stomach, staring in awe and wonder up at her brave and adventurous sister.
PS, this is what our Christmas tree looks like this year.
LOL! Girl, you are gonna run out of gates!
