It is so fun to watch Elizabeth do something that makes her proud. Her face lights up, her eyes sparkle, and her smile stretches from ear to ear.
Walking and standing were Elizabeth's big accomplishments last month, and boy was she excited to to both!
Here she is walking with her new walker...
And here are a month's worth of standing pictures....

Little Walker
Elizabeth decided to spend her Christmas money on a Radio Flyer Walker Wagon. It came in the mail a couple days ago and yesterday she got to try it out. It's definitely a hit. She's so proud of herself when she's walking around. She's having a blast and it is so fun to watch her go go go!

Valentine's Week
Ah Valentine's Day, a day devoted to love. Well, this house sure is full of love, and we had a Valentine's week full of lovely moments.
We started the week out right, with some peek-a-boo and wagon climbing. Oh how these girls love their blankets, and this Radio Flyer wagon has gotten lots of love in our house!
Later that morning, the blanket came into the kitchen for some more fun.
On Valentine's Day, Aunt Rickelle's headbands came out for a mini photo shoot.
And on Valentine's Day, we decided to try out our new snack holders. The package promised me they would be mess-free. Do you believe it?
The next day, we received a wonderful package in the mail from Auntie Wendy that had some great hats in it. We decided we needed to try them on right away, and then went for a walk to test them out.

The girls finished up the week by helping me with laundry.

Walking
Addie has been pulling up and cruising around on furniture for so long now, we keep thinking independent steps are just days away. Yesterday (March 8th) she did take a couple confident steps away from both Mom and Dad.
Here she is about a month ago, showing off her single-hand-held walk:
Emily has become a walker as well, taking her first hand-held steps last month. Here she is walking with Dad:
A couple days after that video was taken, Emily took it up a notch and started pushing the wagon around on her own.
And after Emily learned to push the wagon on her own, Addison decided she was ready for a ride.

The Best Push Toy EVER!
We have a couple friends who have the best push toy ever, a Radio Flyer Classic Walker Wagon. While it really truly is the best push toy ever invented, we did not purchase one after seeing the price tag. Instead we got a cheap used Fisher Price scooter that converts to a walker (the scooter part is OK, the walker part slips out from under any poor unsuspecting toddler, causing more tears than giggles), and then we bought a cheap used walker with wheels, which did provide several (nonconsecutive) hours of fun for Addie, but has become a bit too confining for her tastes. On a recent trip to the Sebrings', their Radio Flyer was resurrected from the basement for Emily and Addison to play with. After seeing the smiles and giggles the wonderful toy brought to the girls, the Sebrings insisted we borrow it.
Since Emily isn't very interested in walking yet, but Addison wants to walk everywhere, it has been truly the perfect toy since Addie can push and Emily can get a ride!

Bumper Cars
Addie has gotten quite skilled at maneuvering her walker, and Emily enjoys scooting around on her little rider toy. What happens when you get these two going in the same room? Bumper cars!
