 We had a bonfire by the lake a couple of nights. Summer nights outside, stars bright overhead, and a crackling fire - it really was pretty amazing.

Emily and Addison had a great time practically living in their swimsuits. Here they are playing in the sprinkler with PopPop.

Addie got pretty attached to this teddy bear and he came most places with her through the week.

Uncle Eric and Aunt Cathy got some baby holding practice in...good thing since they'll be parents themselves in January!

Elizabeth did get a dip in the lake before we left to come back to Colorado.

Christmas in Michigan

Before the girls went down for their nap on Christmas, they got to open a couple of presents from CeeCee and PopPop. A drill and a doctor kit, just perfect for our pretend play loving girls!

As usual, Sally Cat was quite the hit while we were in Michigan. The first thing the girls did when we got out of the car after the drive back from the wedding was chase Sally.

The girls and I are waiting for the day a hypoalergenic cat comes looking for a home, because a kitty sure would be loved around here!

Sue and Larry have a cat named Sally who adopted them a couple years ago when she had a litter of kittens under their patio steps. She usually isn't an indoor cat, but before we headed back to Colorado, she was allowed inside to say hello and goodbye to Emily and Addison.
