GG's 90!

Looking at this beautiful woman, it's hard to believe she's turned 90! We are so lucky to have GG in our lives, and it was very special to celebrate the big milestone with her.

The party was held at Grandma and Grandpa's condo at Windsor Gardens. The food was delicious....

And the playtime with cousins was a blast as usual!

Grandpa had suggested a fancy dinner out to celebrate, but Grandma wanted to have the party at home so she could watch all the little ones play.

It was quite the turn out of family and friends to celebrate FAY!

Skiing

Chris started talking about teaching our kids to ski before we were even ready to start trying to have kids. His long time dream came true last month, when we brought the girls up to the mountains for their very first ski trip.

Sue and Larry were in town for one of their annual ski trips to Colorado, and the extra helping hands were definitely a necessity to pull this off.

Elizabeth got to spend the morning with CeeCee while Chris, Larry and I took the big girls to the ski mountain.
We're ready to ski!

Now it's time for the steep hill! Yay!
This is one proud papa!
I didn't even know they made skis this tiny!

What do you think, Elizabeth? Your turn next?

We Have a Preschooler!

Addie started preschool last month, the day after she turned three.

The week before her first day, we went to the school to meet the teachers and see the classroom.
Addie packed a snack, water bottle, and a few toys in her brand new Tinker Bell backpack and brought it to school for the meet and greet.

Chris stayed home with Emily and Elizabeth while Addie and I went to Woodglen Elementary to see the preschool rooms and meet the teachers. Ever since we found out Addie would qualify for preschool services back in January, we've been reading lots of books about preschool. Addie knew her classroom would have cubbies, and she was very excited to hang her backpack and jacket in a cubby right away when we walked in to her new classroom.

We went to the school on a Wednesday, and Wednesdays are teacher work days for Adams 12 preschools, so there weren't any kids there. Addie had the whole classroom and all the books and toys to herself. She made herself right at home after hanging her stuff in a cubby, opening tubs and taking books off the shelf to show me. I had a chance to chat with her teachers, Miss Rachel and Miss Marissa. We both left feeling excited about preschool!

Me and my Preschooler!
On February 28th, the day after Addie turned 3, she had her first official day of preschool. She was so excited to go! After breakfast, she said, "Me go school Emmy." and then she gave Emily 5 kisses behind each ear. This is something my mom used to do for Dylan and I when we were little - a kiss on each fingertip tucked behind each ear, so we could pull them out whenever we needed them through the day. After giving Emily kisses, she did the same for Elizabeth and then for me. When it was time to take Addie to school, we all drove to Woodglen, where we waited outside the school with the other preschoolers and their families for the teachers to open the doors and lead the kids to their classrooms. I expected tears when those doors opened, but instead, Addie saw her teachers, beamed a big smile, and marched right in the building. She didn't even glance back. What a brave girl!

Three hours later, we went to pick Addie up. When she saw me, her eyes got teary, and she ran to me, squealing "Mommy!" Her teachers told me she'd asked about home a few times and got a little teary through the day, but she made it! Go Addie!

Sisters' Sweet Snuggles

Emily has really grown into her role as big sister these last few months. She loves to snuggle Elizabeth and talk to her, "whatchoo need honeybun? I right here." is something I hear often when Elizabeth is crying.

As Elizabeth has gotten bigger and more sturdy, Emily has watched as Dad has stepped up his wrestling game with Baby Sister, and Emily has decided wrestling Elizabeth is pretty fun, and Elizabeth loves it too!

Tuesday Dinner

During our monthly Tuesday dinner with Hickses last month, a true dance party erupted. Five girls getting their grove on...it's quite entertaining!
Dance music on, coffee table moved, it's time to twirl!

Headstands! Oh yeah!

Ha! Don't ask.

Eleven Months Old!

I was getting Elizabeth dressed on the morning of her eleven month birthday, and realized I haven't taken many pictures of her in nothing but a diaper, and she's just such a cute naked baby, I had to do her eleven month photo shoot sans clothes.

Yep, I know I'm cute

I LOVE waving! Hello!
And pointing! Hey You!
Her sweetness melts my heart daily
Sweet Baby Blues
Heading up to her room to do the monthly rocking chair shot, she wished me luck in getting one shot of her sitting still!
Look at me go! I love climbing!
Haha Mom! I'm on the move!
Oh there's that sign!
Ah! You got me!
