Baby turtles and dragonflies...our first day in Michigan brought many fun adventures for Emily and Addison!

Welcome to Michigan!
It was our first flight to Michigan with all three kiddos. Emily and Addison sat in a row with Chris, and I sat across the aisle with Elizabeth.
Flying with a three month old is a breeze; it's an excuse to hold, talk to, and admire her cutemess for three whole hours (closer to four on this trip after sitting on the runway waiting for Detroit weather to calm down). Chris and I traded seats for a few minutes mid-flight so that I could give him a little break from the toddlers. Trying to contain/entertain two two year olds, even for five short minutes, was one of the most stressful and intense experiences of my life.
Towards the end of the flight, Elizabeth had an explosive blowout that left her in a diaper and blanket for the remainder of the flight. It was a long and exhausing flight, but when we landed and Elizabeth got back in her car seat, this was the look on her face...

Emily and Elizabeth
While Elizabeth is very loved by both of her big sisters, up until recently Addison has shown a bit more interest. Last month, Emily asked to hold her baby sister and ever since then, she has been having a great time playing with, talking to, and bonding with Elizabeth.

Callie's Four and Anno's One!
Happy Birthday Callie and Annalea!

Parties at Uncle Dylan and Aunt Britney's are always a blast, and this time, the theme was an unslumber party, so we had breakfast treats and wore pajamas. Emily and Addison discovered the old jeep in Uncle Dylan's shop, and had a great time pretending they were 16.
Father's Day Swimming
On Father's Day, we ventured up to the pool with all three girls. Elizabeth had her first dip in the pool, and Emily and Addison showed off their swimming skills to Dad.

Happy Father's Day and Three Month Birthday!
For Father's Day, I took Chris to an art exhibit he was interested in called Organism Mechanism. We brought Elizabeth with us, and she thought the whole thing was quite amazing.

Our Father's Day date night landed on Elizabeth's three month birthday, so when we stopped at a park for an evening stroll after dinner, we took some pictures of our beautiful baby girl.

Diggin' In the Garden
Feel like digging? Come to our garden, where there are many many raspberry plants, three tomato bushes, and a basil plant growing, along with some open dirt space perfect for Tonka Truck dumping and insect hunting.
What a nice way to spend an evening.

Addie Sets the Table
Addie is quite the little helper around the house, and has recently started helping get ready for dinner by setting the table.

I'm most impressed and amused by the napkin-wrapped forks. I'm thinking she picked this up at a restaurant.
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Somewhere over the rainbow....
Trees say hello and shake your hand!
Sweet smelling flowers are always in bloom,
Spruce trees play tickle games,
And Aunties come to visit.
Snacks are served outdoors,
Baby sisters are doted upon,
Babies get to watch the trees,
While big sisters try out new styles.
And right over this rainbow...
Baby smiles warm your heart.
