Happy Halloween!

Independent Addie

On September 28th, Addison pulled herself up to a kneeling position and was thrilled with herself.

Two days later, I was in the kitchen listening to the girls play in the family room. Suddenly it became very quiet, which got my attention. When I came around the corner, this is what I saw!

 She was SO proud of herself!

7 Months Old

Hanging out in the backyard. We love grass, but we haven't learned we like to eat it yet. Just give us a couple weeks!

Emily had just gotten her first tooth, so her bottom lip was tucked in a lot around this time,  feeling that new tooth

Nothing Compares to Special Great Grandparent Time!

The girls and I took a trip to Windsor Gardens last month to have lunch and playtime with the Greats. It is so wonderful to see my grandparents and my babies playing together!

Grandpa Hicks Holds Two Babies!

Titan III Centaur rocket launch with Voyager I (Sept 5, 1977)

Chris recently bought a few pictures of a Titan III rocket launch for Grandpa to sign and give to the kids.  Grandpa worked on the Titan rockets while working at Lockheed Martin as an engineer in the 1970s.  They were used to send the Voyager I & II satellites into space (that studied Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune, and Uranus), along with the Viking I & II orbiter/landers that were used to explore the surface of Mars.

Unfortunately, my camera wasn't cooperating, and the video above cuts out before Grandpa is done telling about his project. When I got the camera rolling again, the show was back on the babies. Addison has really gotten into climbing on anything or anyone around. Here she is climbing on Great Grandma Hicks!

Saturday Afternoon Walk

On a warm Saturday in September, we took a walk to the playground so the girls could show Dad how they can  swing back to back in a bucket swing.

When we got to the park, the girls were pretty worn out.

After a little time resting in the shade, they were ready to play!

After swinging, we headed back for home, stopping at a bench along the trail to eat.

The girls got new matching hats, and even though noses were still a little runny and eyes were still a little red from our lingering colds, we decided to take the show outside for a little photo shoot.

Claire, You're Gonna Be a Great Big Sis!

While helping get Emily and Addison ready for bed, Claire had a chance to practice her big sister skills....good thing cause she's going to need them come May! Congrats Sebrings!

First Colds :(

Last month, Emily got her first cold, and two days later, she was kind enough to share it with Addison. We survived our first experience with having two sick babies, but aren't looking forward to the next family illness.

Recently Emily and Addison have discovered that they are not alone in their bedroom. If mamma's a little slow in getting to their room in the morning, they have figured out there's someone to talk to, just inches away!
