Chris's Birthday

I can't believe Chris's birthday was almost two months ago. Where has time gone?!? I tell you what, it seems to be speeding up more and more each year.
Anyway, Emily helped me make Dad's birthday pie while Addie was at school. She still loves raspberries, and she really loved tasting the pie filling after watching it boil on the stove.

 The girls got their party dresses on before Chris got home from work and posed with the flowers and artwork they made for him for his birthday.

New Swimsuits!

Uncle Eric and Aunt Cathy got Emily and Addie Target gift cards for their birthday. We went shopping for new swimsuits with their gift cards, and here's what they picked...

Ever since we brought the swimsuits home, Addie has carried hers around with her like a security blanket. It goes to school with her, to friends' houses, and to bed. She asks about going swimming all the time. The pool opens at the end of May, and we just can't wait.

Elizabeth Turns ONE!

Happy Birthday Elizabeth Grace!

Elizabeth turned one on Saturday, March 15th, and her big birthday party celebration came on the same day. She was so excited to have the spotlight on her. I could tell she was just thrilled to have everyone ooooing and ahhhing over her. She is such a bright light in our lives, and we just feel so very blessed to have her precious little soul in our family.

Elizabeth had a bird-themed birthday party, thanks to Emily who suggested a bird party when we first started talking about what to do for Elizabeth's big first birthday. 

I was super excited to celebrate my dear Elizabeth's first year!

 Many dear family and friends came to help celebrate. Sue and Larry came in from Michigan, and all of Elizabeth's Colorado grandparents and great grandparents were there as well.

The smile on Elizabeth's face while we all sang her Happy Birthday was priceless. All eyes were on her, and she was just soaking up the love and attention.

DeeDee decided to give Elizabeth a little help

Addison was so excited to see the cake smash. In preparation for Elizabeth's party, I had shown the big girls pictures from their first birthday party, and the pictures of their cakes were definitely their favorites. Addie was talking about Elizabeth getting her own little cake to smash and eat for a few weeks before the party, and when the moment came, she was full of giggles.

Elizabeth had quite the audience, and she loved it!
