Play Mat

The play mat has become more and more of a hit as the girls have gotten better at reaching for and grabbing objects. We call it going to the jungle, and Emily especially loves spending lots of time in the jungle.

Walks to the Park

We go on weekly walks with our friends Bree and Enslea. Lately, we've been heading to a playground so Enslea can get out of the stroller to play and the girls have started enjoying getting out of their seats too!

Happy Earth Day!

We went outside to enjoy some beautiful weather on Earth Day! The girls got to wear onesies that I made when they were only about 8 weeks in utero. We had a great time laying in the shade, feeling the breeze, listening to the birds, looking at the sky, and smelling fresh air.

Addison has started smiling! Chris and I noticed her smiling while awake for the first time on Tuesday.

Great Grandparent Day!

Last Friday, we made a trip to Windsor Gardens in Aurora to visit the Great Grandparents. The girls were held and doted on all afternoon...they loved it!

Tummy Time!

The girls have been having tummy time almost every day. They get to work out their neck and arm muscles, and Addison has even rolled over a few times! They are getting stronger and stronger. Here are some pictures from this week (thanks for the blankets Gayle!)

Learning Everyday!

We seem to be learning something new everyday in this house!

Yesterday Chris and I both noticed Emily smiling...and not just in her sleep anymore! She is so observant of faces, and yesterday I caught her giving me little smiles throughout the day and Chris noticed smiles in the evening. Here's a picture I got today of a little smile she gave me after she had a meal and a full belly.

Addison has discovered that her hands taste good! She has been licking her fist and putting one or two fingers in her mouth to suck on. She did this a few weeks ago and got her fingers stuck in her mouth. I was changing Emily and heard Addison screech from the crib. When I peeked in, her hand was caught in her mouth and she was trying to pull it out and was stretching her poor little cheek in the process. She's grown leaps and bounds since then, and now purposely brings her hand to her mouth.
