We went to the pool several times in June to get the girls used to the water so that they would be ready for swimming in the lake in Michigan. Here's one pool trip we took, along with evidence of the tired babies that pool trips create!

Relay for Life
I have been doing Relay for Life with my co-workers from Big Thompson Elementary since I started working there in 2004. Even though we've moved to Thornton, I still head up to Loveland every June to join my old friends for Relay. This year, Emily and Addison got to come along!
Addison hangs out with Michaela, daughter of Mary Kay, an old teacher friend
Emily hangs out with Lauren, Mary Kay's youngest daughter
Me, Jennica, and Mary Kay
(Almost) the whole Big T Relay Team...I'm standing next to Cedric. He's in middle school now, but I taught him when he was in 3rd grade!
Me and Jennica at the end of the night. Relay is an 18 hour experience, and many people pitch tents and stay the night. We didn't do it this year...maybe when the girls are older. Jenncia has been walking with the Big T team for several years now. We always have such a great time.
Chris, Addison and I just before heading to the car. The girls did a lap of the relay in the stroller.
Family Fun
The girls love when they have a chance to spend time with family.
Chris's cousin Kay came to visit while on a trip to Denver from Chicago. Cousin Allison came over also so the girls got to spend the evening with their second cousins!
Grandma DeeDee came over for a visit. The girls love showing off their skills to their grandma!

Same Same!
The girls all got to dress up in tutus for a photo shoot. In Claire's words, they were all "same same" and what's more fun than same-same?!
Getting four girls to pose for the camera....not so easy
Claire's into doing what Mom does these days. Jenn was raising her hand to get the babies' attention, so Claire did the same. :)
A serious pose
Addison waits in the wings for her turn to pose
Emily looking quite precious if I do say so myself
Rose samples the tulle...does it pass the taste test?
Hey! Now it's my turn!
All tuckered out after all those pictures
Chautauqua Park
Baby Legs
While we were visiting the Flatirons, we had a wonderful picnic at Chautauqua park. How much fun can seven girls have together? Lots and lots!!
Our girls
Rose: Why thank you, I've heard dandelions are delicious!
Emily: Hey! I want one!
Addison: That cloud looks like a bunny!
Emily shows off her tongue-rolling skills

A Trip to the Flatirons
When Wendy and Rose came into town, we took a trip with Jenn and Claire to see the Flatirons in Boulder. Emily and Addison had seen the Flatirons a month earlier with their great aunts and CeeCee, but this time they got to get out of the stroller for a photo shoot.
Claire helps the babies sit up. She is going to be such a good big sister one day!
Rose, you're in Colorado!
Hi Wendy and Rose! We miss you!
Hi Jenn and Claire!

A Special Friend
Emily and Addison met their friend Rose when she came to Colorado in June. Rose is 8 months old and she really is a little peanut herself, but it's amazing how teeny tiny she makes the girls look.
Is it a kiss or a nibble?

Rose Comes to Town
It was a visit we were looking forward to for months...our friend Wendy drove almost 500 miles from Manhattan, Kansas with her 8 month old daughter, Rose. It was very exciting when Emily and Addison finally got to meet Rose and Wendy!
Mom and Dad Love Their Girls!
Lately, one of my favorite times during the day is after the girls have eaten and I burp and snuggle them. They're big enough to hold their heads steady and yet small enough that I can still hold both of them easily.
Chris loves spending time with the girls. Our evenings are so special!

Pool Days
The girls had their very first trip to the pool this month. Aunt Britney, Uncle Dylan, and Callie came over and we all ventured over to the neighborhood pool for a dip. Callie had a great time splashing and playing, and Emily and Addison were very brave while we dipped their toes, then their legs, and then laid them on their backs in the baby pool.
We didn't bring the camera to the pool, but got some shots after we got home.

Emily's too tuckered out to open her eyes for the picture
Callie plays in her swimsuit coverup...Daddy's t-shirt! :)
