A Beautiful November Walk with Elizabeth

On a lovely warm day in November, after dropping the big girls off at school, Elizabeth and I headed down the cottonwood trail for some fresh air. The cottonwoods were in transition, so we had a bright yellow canopy above us with green all around us.

We stopped along the path at the train conductor. Sometimes he has butterscotch candies in his hand, so Elizabeth was curious to see if he had any candies today.

This trail is one of my favorite places, and I feel so blessed that it's just a short walk from home. It was very special to spend some time along the trail with my sweet Elizabeth.

Trick or Treating

Dee Dee came over, per Halloween tradition, to give out candy while we took the kids trick-or-treating. This year, though, she came dressed as Elmo, which gave everyone a good laugh, and entertained all the kids, young and old, who came to ring the bell for treats. CeeCee and PopPop were in town for trick-or-treating, and they also got dressed up for the occasion: a scary witch and a rocker. Dylan and Britney had other plans this year, so we didn't get to trick-or-treat with Callie and Annie, but hopefully that tradition will continue next year.

Frozen's Anna

Spiderman (with a princess crown and wand for fun)

Not Scawee Monster

DeeDee was instructed to watch Scarecrow while we were gone, and to let the kids give him a high five if they wanted to.

Frank's yard, scary as ever!

The kids got tired after a block or so, but the adults wanted to keep going, so I ran home to get the wagon and they got to ride and go further.

Niwot Halloween Trick or Treating

We went back to Niwot this Halloween for their downtown trick-or-treating and parade. The parade was quite a bit more organized this year, with a band and everything! Emily wasn't feeling super hot, so she rode in the stroller for trick or treating. CeeeCee and PopPop came to Denver for Halloween this year, which was super exciting for the girls!

Rock Creek with Dad

We visited the Rock Creek pumpkin patch for a second time with Chris. He took a Friday morning off from work and we got some fun Dad time before the big girls needed to head to school. What a special day!

These goats had eaten holes into their hay pile It just cracked me up.

Yay Daddy Day!
