Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny Came!

The Easter Bunny brought baby plush rabbit peeps to go with our giant stuffed peeps that we got from Uncle Eric and Aunt Cathy last year

Emily digs right in while Addison remains a bit hesitant

Cadbury creme egg...mmmmmm.....

Emily already has a mouthful as Addie just begins to get closer to her basket

mmmmm.....paper
Addison tastes the Easter grass while Emily dares anyone brave enough to take that jellybean out of her mouth

mmmmm....Brach's marshmallow candy

There you go, Addie! Taste the candy!

Like a circus peanut but so much jollier

That bunny's a gonner

Mmmmmmm
As we all know, Easter isn't just about baskets, bunnies, and candy. Jesus invented heaven for us, and we celebrate his rising into heaven on this special day. He is waiting for us there with open arms. Happy Easter to all our loved ones!

Spring Visits From CeeCee and PopPop

Every spring, Sue and Larry come out to Colorado to ski, and for the past few years, they have come out twice, usually once in February and once in late March. They were able to spend a lot of quality time with Emily and Addison during their visits this year.

The girls got to stay up in the mountains during the first ski trip

Emily's going to buckle Addie's boots for her so she can go skiing with Pop Pop and Daddy

Emily wants to try on the boots too!

When we got back home from the mountains, the girls took Pop Pop to see their favorite park

A swing session isn't complete without a little double time!

When Cee Cee and Pop Pop came out for their second visit, they brought Sesame Street friends for the girls
There was another fun excursion to our favorite neighborhood playground

This time, we tried the slides! Fun!

Pop Pop and Grandpa Hicks helped Dad cut down our dead aspen tree. Emily enjoyed the show while Addison rested inside with a stomach bug.

With baseball season starting up, the girls donned their Tigers garb
We decided to have an early Easter egg hunt in the front yard. The girls were interested in the eggs, and picked them up, but didn't explore much of the yard to find all the eggs, so we ended up bringing most of the eggs to them.
Emily found two eggs and immediately began tapping them together to make music

As most things do, Addison's eggs went right in her mouth

Kodak Moments

Years before the girls were born, Chris worked for Kodak in Windsor, CO. Before leaving Kodak, he bought some baby shirts. Good thing he bought two in the same size!

12 Month Photos

The pack of photo cards came with one card per month up through one year, so on the girls' 12 month/1 YEAR birthday, we took the last card around with us, kind of like we did on their 5 month birthday, to document the day.

Good morning!
This is how we often find the girls in the morning or after naps, chatting with each other through the bars and chewing on their cribs.
Hanging out in the bathroom while Mom and Dad get ready for the day
Playing with our party balloons
Ready for breakfast!
Yummy bagels and cream cheese
Opening Uncle Eric and Aunt Cathy's presents over Skype
Off to the mall for lunch and playtime with some friends
Our friends came to play
Playing with the big kids
"Hey Mom, look what I can do!"
Waking up from afternoon nap
Playing with our new xylophone
Post-dinner kitchen play
Posing with the 1 Year sign
The last sign of the pack, and we both want a piece of it

Dad brought us flowers for our birthday
Happy Birthday Dear Addison
Happy Birthday Dear Emily
What could be a better way to end this day than with a lovely bubble bath in the big tub?
